A lot of unknowns for the Melcher-Dallas Football Program this season, not within the team, but the Saints’ opponents. Of the nine opponents from last season, just two return to the Saints 2020 schedule, Lenox and Seymour/Moulton-Udell. The rest including Griswold, Mormon Trail, Murray, Martensdale-St. Mary’s, Southeast Warren, Lamoni, and Grand View Christian are all teams Melcher-Dallas has not played in two seasons. Athletic Director Jim Crozier tells KNIA Sports that will make scouting difficult for everyone…

Crozier:
“Makes a difference when you take 3 athletes off the field, I know Lamoni is going to be pretty decent, too. Other than that, I’ve not really got into it a lot, it’s going to be a tough schedule and we have a lot of kids returning in specialty positions. It’s kind of an unknown because we didn’t play a lot of those teams in the last couple of years so it’s going to be tough for everybody.”

The Saints split the games with Lenox and Seymour/Moulton-Udell last season losing to Lenox and beating Seymour/Moulton-Udell.
