Central received the Future Ready Iowa Employer Innovation Grant for the development of the Pella Talent Pipeline Apprenticeship School, a collaboration between the college, community and business partners to build a holistic apprenticeship experience while meeting the workforce needs of area employers. Last week, Teri Vos was announced to lead a new work-based learning program funded by a grant from Future Ready Iowa.

“We are excited to get this program off the ground to give students off ramps into careers. This program will open the door for both employers and students to connect through meaningful experiences,” says Carol Williamson, Central’s vice president of enrollment and student development.

Vos will act as a liaison between schools, students, and businesses to develop work-based learning opportunities, similar to the Career Academy of Pella apprenticeship program developed at Pella High School — which Vos played a key role in shaping.
