In the midst of the most challenging public health crisis of our lifetimes, citizens are reminded that this week is National Public Health Week. National Public Health Week is a week set aside each year to recognize the contributions of public health and highlight issues that are important to improving our nation.

As residents recognize the daily contributions public health officials continue to bring during the fight against COVID-19, Marion County Public Health has come up with new ways to continue to inform the public and keep people safe. In addition to communicating to the public at the Monday and Friday press conferences broadcast by KNIA and KRLS, Marion County Public Health has established a Facebook page to keep residents informed. The page Marion County IA Response to Covid-19 shares daily information as well as helpful videos and tips on how to slow the spread of the disease.
