TRM Disposal in Indianola is continuing their normal services during the recent events, however they are asking residents to keep their employees safety in mind when they are putting trash out to be collected. Safety tips for all disposing of items include;

-Bag all trash and securely tie the bag closed before placing it in the trash container. It is easier to keep viruses and bacteria away from drivers and helps keep the community clean.
-Empty all liquid containers before placing in trash bags. Liquids can carry viruses and bacteria that can splash onto drivers. When bottles and cans are emptied, the risk is minimized.
-Wipe/Disinfect cart handles and lids. The lids and handles are the two main touch points for drivers. By wiping those areas down with disinfectant or soapy water, it minimizes the danger of shared contact areas.

TRM Disposal is also asking residents who are spring cleaning to not leave large items on the curb that may not get picked up in a timely manner, as the citywide spring cleanup has been postponed.
