The City of Indianola continues to have one of the top US Census response rates in the state of Iowa, sitting at 53.6% while Iowa as a whole is one of the top states in the nation with a 51.4% response rate. City of Indianola Community and Economic Development Director Charlie Dissell tells KNIA News you can respond to the census in several different ways to make it as easy as possible including through mail or online, and census workers will be going around the community if there is not a response.
