A Knoxville man was arrested Thursday following a domestic abuse assault incident in which he allegedly choked his victim. According to court documents, at approximately 10 p.m. Thursday law enforcement officers responded to a call in the 600 block of north Grant Street in Knoxville for the report of a domestic abuse assault. When officers arrived they were flagged down by the victim who showed officers an injury on her left hand, scratch on her face, blood in her mouth and a scratch on her waist. The victim told officers 38-year-old Adam Glover of Knoxville had thrown her down. The victim and her daughter told officers that Glover had threatened to kill the victim.
When officers spoke with Glover, he admitted to taking the victim to the ground in a choke hold. Glover told officers the victim had assaulted him first by grabbing his genitals with her hand and that he was defending himself. The victim admitted to grabbing Glover’s genitals but stated she did so because Glover had her in a choke hold. The victim told officers she could not breath and was trying to tell Glover to stop but couldn’t because of his arm around her neck. Glover was arrested and charged with domestic abuse assault impeding air/blood flow causing injury, a class D felony as well as harassment first degree an aggravated misdemeanor.
