Both Pella Christian and PCM were among stadiums that had their lights on Friday night as part of a statewide effort to recognize the impact COVID-19 has had on schools across Iowa. The Iowa HIgh School Athletic Directors Association came up with the idea that stadium lights would be turned on one minute for every day of school missed at 8 p.m. on Friday nights. Pella Christian and PCM, as well as Indianola, Knoxville, and Melcher-Dallas, joined the efforts Friday at their football stadiums, and shared messages of support to all students impacted by the loss of school, activities, and athletics.
