Indianola High School students have until Wednesday to turn in their Dollars for Scholars applications. Counselor Jori Coghlan tells KNIA News every student who turns in an application will get a scholarship, and the application is thorough but worth it.
“Every kid who fills out an application is guaranteed a minimum of $500, and we’ve had scholarships as high as $5,000 in the past. That money then goes to the college for tuition, housing, whatever the need is. It’s definitely worth the time to sit down and complete the application.”
Coghlan also says if any student has a question about Dollars for Scholars or other college topics, they should contact the counselors office.
