
Marion County representatives and local community leaders including Knoxville Fareway Store Director, Dave Spoward, Marion County Development Executive Director, Carla Eysink, Director of Foundation and Public Relations for Knoxville Hospital and Clinics Kevin Stittsworth and Twin Cedars School Superintendent Brian Vander Sluis held a press conference Monday and gave updates on how the COVID-19 pandemic was affecting the county as well as what they were doing to keep people safe.
In response to Governor Kim Reynolds Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Shortage Order, Marion County Supervisor Mark Raymie took time to reassure residents the county currently has sufficient supplies regarding PPE. According to Raymie, Marion County has an adequate amount of PPE to meet the current demand throughout the county. He says right now the county is in a good position but continues to look for new sources to meet future needs.
Marion County currently has three confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county with no new cases reported as of Monday afternoon. Marion County will continue to hold informative press conferences for the foreseeable future with the next scheduled for Friday, April 17th at 1 p.m. Each press conference will be aired live on 92.1 KRLS and 95.3 KNIA and reaired at 6 p.m.
