The Knoxville Community School District is doing their part to honor the Class of 2020 amid uncertainty regarding graduation. This district is currently celebrating seniors from the class of 2020 by sharing spotlights of three to five seniors each day on the district’s Facebook and Twitter pages. Organizer of the program and high school teacher Kelli Keefer tells KNIA/KRLS News she knows this last quarter of the school year is not how the seniors envisioned their senior year ending and they wanted to make sure the seniors were recognized properly in a public manner.

She says the district will continue to share the spotlights over the next few weeks and hopes to be able to recognize all the students in the class of 2020. Keefer says in addition to the spotlights an additional parent group is also wanting to post signs on the Knoxville downtown square to help recognize the accomplishments of the class of 2020.
