Several Pella area businesses received assistance grants through the Iowa Small Business Relief Grant program. Through April 10th, the following businesses have received aid:

Simple Treasures LLC – $15,000
The Cutting Edge Styling Salon LLC – $20,000
Ruby River LLC (The Funky Zebra) – $25,000

Goldie’s Ice Cream Shoppe, Prairie City – $25,000
AVM LLC dba Southside, Monroe – $10,000
Vals Ventures, Lynnville – $8,000
Mike’s Lounge Place, LLC, Monroe – $15,000
Shelly Sarver Designs, Leighton – $5,600

Due to high demand, the funding capacity of the program has been expanded to a current total of $24 million, provided through the state Economic Emergency Fund and the IEDA. The application period is closed, and any additional awards will be made from the current pool of applicants. Businesses with 2-25 employees who had been economically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic were eligible to apply.
