Area high schools took part in the #LightUpIA event earlier this evening, keeping their lights on at high school fields for 20 minutes for the 20 days of school missed since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many intend to keep the tradition going at stadiums across the state, as long as social distancing guidelines allow, until what would have been the end of the 2019-2020 school year. The fight songs of local high schools played on 92.1 KRLS, and will every Friday to recognize the achievements of all students in our listening area.
