Four of Melcher-Dallas’s district games this fall on the Saints’ 2020 season are fellow Bluegrass Conference teams. Mormon Trail, Murray, Seymour/Moulton-Udell, and Lamoni all hail from the BGC. Coach Pat Ferguson tells KNIA Sports while the Saints have not played a couple of those teams in recent seasons on the varsity level, he had an idea of what to expect by playing many of those teams in JV games.

Ferguson:
“There are some teams in our district like Seymour, Mormon Trail and Murray. I’ve seen them not on varsity but we play them in JV and we play some of those guys. I’ve seen them and know who their athletes are and who to look out for.”

The Saints will start off this fall with a road game against Griswold in week one and then battle Lenox in week two before embarking on district play.
