The City of Indianola has passed the 60% participation rate on the US Census, continuing one of the top response rates in the state of Iowa. City of Indianola Community and Economic Development Director Charlie Dissell tells KNIA News you can respond to the census in several different ways to make it as easy as possible including through mail or online, and census workers will be going around the community if there is not a response. Iowa as a whole currently is at a 55.7% response rate, well above the national average of 49.4%.
