While Marion county currently has sufficient face masks and shields for first responders and health care workers, Marion County Public Health Director Kim Dorn tells KNIA/KRLS News the county is in need of gowns for area hospitals as disposable gowns have become scarce. She says instructions on how to make the gowns will be provided on the Marion County Public Health website and if residents have any questions they can always call the public health office.
According to Dorn, Marion County 4H students have begun sewing cloth gowns for the county after already assisting in making cloth masks. She welcomes all residents to assist in the making of the gowns to reduce the shortage and help keep the county supplied throughout the pandemic.
