A senior at Pella Christian has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender soccer program.

Sydney Hooyer will become a part of the program this fall. She earned all-conference honors as both a sophomore and junior and played center back for the Eagles and she helped the Eagles to a 10-9 record last season.

“I chose to commit to Dordt because Christ-centered education is very important to me. I also love the community on campus. From my first visit I was immediately welcomed into the community and the team. I am excited to continue to play soccer, to continue my education and to continue to grow in my faith at Dordt,” said Hooyer.
