After a 6-24 season last year, the Melcher-Dallas Baseball Squad is looking to have a better season in 2020 while also hoping that the 2020 season does get played out. While still very young and inexperienced at many positions this summer Coach Pat Ferguson tells KNIA Sports he expects them to be improved, but knows it is a process.
Ferguson:
“They progressed, they got better and worked on things they were supposed to work on and by the end of the year, I felt comfortable putting their name on the line up card. Will they get better, absolutely. This year could still be a little rough but when the Krpan boys are seniors and Cole a junior we could have a pretty decent team.”
Ferguson adds right now there are not a lot of upperclassmen out and that makes finding an on field leader tougher. The Saints are scheduled to start their season Monday June first at Woodward Academy.
