As National Library Week continues, the Knoxville Public Library and KNIA/KRLS have teamed up to bring residents some literature via the airwaves as Dr. Heather Libby with the library will read a few passages from some famous writings over the years. Dr. Libby tells KNIA/KRLS News she wanted to read some stories over the air as she thought about the local patrons who are huge audiobook fans. She says a lot of the library patrons also love the radio and she figured she could bring some funny, interesting and thoughtful stories to the air as well as bring the library to the patrons as they stay home due to COVID-19.

Listeners will be able to tune to hear Dr. Libby read aloud starting tomorrow at 1 p.m. on 95.3 KNIA and then again at 2 p.m. on 92.1 KRLS. National Library Week runs from April 19th through the 25th and is set aside each year to celebrate the contributions of our nation’s libraries and library workers and to promote library use and support.
