After finishing last season ranked #6 in Class 2A and only losing four seniors, the Pleasantville softball team was gearing up for a promising season. With sports on hold right now, it’s hard to tell what the season might look like. Head Coach Jan Haugen says that the most important goal is to get some games in, even if it means not playing a full schedule or having a postseason.
“There’s a lot of options out there. But I think the most important thing is to get the kids to play. If we can play, that’s the goal or objective in my mind. I think it’s really important to get some games in if we can. Even if there’s no conference champion, even if there’s no state tournament, I would really like to see us be able to participate with the kids and play.”
Pleasantville finished 25-12 last season, and would only lose four playing dates if the season starts on June 1st.
