The Pella City Council will consider a clubhouse management agreement for Bos Landen Golf Course with MK Golf, Inc., at their meeting this evening.

Council will review a resolution that would pay MK Golf, Inc. for operation of day-to-day operations of the clubhouse including all golf events, private parties, and facility rentals, which also encompasses staff. The City of Pella would be responsible for building maintenance of the entire facility including the golf course, irrigation system, driving range, and clubhouse.

If approved, the agreement would have the City of Pella pay $14,166 per month through the remainder of 2020, and slightly increase in 2021 and again in 2022 to $15,618 monthly. MK Golf would also receive 10% of gross revenues related to green fees, cart rentals, and facility rentals, as well as all proceeds from food, beverage, and merchandise.

MK Golf currently operates Edmundson and Harvest Point Golf Courses in Oskaloosa. Warrior Golf was the previous operator of Bos Landen, and was in charge of Bos Landen from summer of 2014 until this winter. Warrior Golf filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in spring of 2019 and had operated the course until this winter.
