Both the Pella and Pella Christian schools are finding ways to celebrate graduation and awards night celebrations after the announcement by Governor Kim Reynolds of school closures, and are also considering early opening for the new academic year.

Pella Chrisitan High School Principal Dan Van Kooten says he has surveyed students and is actively trying to find a way to honor outgoing members of the Class of 2020.

Additionally, Van Kooten and Pella Superintendent Greg Ebeling both say each district will explore the possibility of starting classes early in the fall after Governor Reynolds waived the start date for schools to begin no earlier than August 23rd.

Both student councils at Pella and Pella Christian High Schools have been honoring their seniors with social media posts highlighting senior photos and accomplishments during high school.
