With Friday’s announcement that schools will be closed for the remainder of the school year, a decision on the summer sports season will be made before June 1st. If it does take place, the season will likely be condensed to accommodate the beginning of next school year. While no structure has been announced, there have been some ideas tossed around among coaches. While nothing has officially been decided, PCM Baseball coach Jeff Lindsay says the main focus could turn to getting all conference games played before worrying about non-conference games.

“I assume if we’re getting to June 1st, the regular start date, I could really see us focusing on the conference games. And then sprinkle in some non-conference games if possible.”

If the season does start on June 1st, PCM would only miss four games. Only one of those four is a conference game. An official decision on the fate of the season will be made before June 1st.
