One of the early preseason goals for the Twin Cedars Baseball Program this summer is to finish higher in the Bluegrass Conference. The Sabers were fifth last season with a predominantly younger squad. Now in 2020, a season they hope to play, the Sabers are more experienced and a year older. Coach Mark Schroeder tells KRLS Sports the offseason work so far indicates his team wants to take the next step in the conference.

Schroeder:
“Our best show out for the preseason they were very hungry for the summer. I’ve had a lot of talk with the team and there’s no reason that Twin Cedars can’t be top of the conference better than fourth this summer with a lot of talent.”

At this time…the new competition start date of June first…the Sabers would only miss four games of the schedule. Their season opener would be against conference foe Moravia
