Knoxville Baseball Coach Turner Devore will start his first season as the head coach with the Panthers this summer. Devore was with the program last summer as an assistant coach. When Matt Miller left to take a teaching job in Independence, Devore was hired and is looking forward to putting his stamp on one of the legendary programs in the state of Iowa.

Devore:
“Having that advantage of being here last year and I came up the season before when our season ended at Central Decatur I watched a couple district practices and the game in Grinnell. It is an advantage to know the kids.”

Devore spent seven seasons as head coach at Central Decatur before coming to Knoxville. If the season is allowed to go ahead, the Panthers would open up at home against Nevada on June first.
