The Indianola spring cleanup that was scheduled to be this week has been postponed, including the brush facility remaining closed. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News city staff is continuing as many services as possible, but safety comes first.
“We have a really dedicated team here, that really cares about the services they are delivering. And although we can’t, everybody who is affiliated with the team is wanting to provide the services now, they want to open up the pool and train the lifeguards, they want to open up the library and provide services, and all of them are working hard to be able to find other ways to continue on as normal, so when this goes away we are prepped and ready to go and open up as normal.”
Waller also said the city is working with vendors to identify an appropriate date for the city cleanup to happen.
