Over the past 38 days Marion County representatives have continuously updated the residents of Marion County twice a week on the current COVID-19 situation in the county. In that time the county has held 11 press conferences with an array of different county and community leaders informing the public on the most up to date news regarding the pandemic as well as helpful ways to keep people safe.

When Marion County began holding press conferences the total cases statewide stood at 38, as of Wednesday Iowa has a total of 3,748 cases and 90 deaths statewide. In the past 38 days Marion County has confirmed 5 total cases of COVID-19 in the county of which one is currently still active, and in the other four cases the people infected have recovered. No one in Marion County has died of COVID-19. The next Marion County press conference is scheduled for 1 p.m. tomorrow and will be aired live on 95.3 KNIA and 92.1 KRLS and reaired at 6 p.m.
