Thursday afternoon the residents of Knoxville were surprised with a free lunch courtesy of Weiler with the collaboration of a few local restaurants. Approximately 600 meals were distributed by members of Celebrate Church in Knoxville to the residents who stopped and received them in front of Crosswalk Youth Center on Robinson Street. Richard Medley with the church tells KNIA/KRLS The Rib Shack and Coffee Connection supplied 300 meals each which was all paid for by Weiler to give the residents of Knoxville a free meal as they continue to deal with the impacts of COVID-19. Residents had the option of choosing a pulled pork sandwich with sides courtesy of The Rib Shack, or a turkey sandwich and macaroni salad courtesy of The Coffee Connection.
