Bos Landen Golf Course will reopen later this spring after the Pella City Council approved a clubhouse management agreement this week.
City Administrator Mike Nardini says the city will pay MK Golf, Inc. for day-to-day operations of the clubhouse including all golf events, private parties, and facility rentals, which also encompasses staff. The City of Pella would be responsible for building maintenance of the entire facility including the golf course, irrigation system, driving range, and clubhouse.
MK Golf currently operates Edmundson and Harvest Point Golf Courses in Oskaloosa. Nardini says an agreement ended with Warrior Golf–who was in charge of the course from summer of 2014 until December 31st, 2019. Warrior Golf filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in spring of 2019.
The agreement has started, with the course expected to open sometime in May, pending any restrictions in place due to ongoing social distancing guidelines related to COVID-19.
