While the Pella Christian track and field teams have had their fair share of success at the state level, there has been added benefit, especially on the boys team.
Head Coach Keith Anderson says he’s seen numbers bolstered by athletes playing football, which has become a mutually beneficial partnership — as some of the school’s most talented individuals come from the football program, and in turn, running on the track builds a lot of crossover skills that makes the Eagles faster on the gridiron.
While the spring season has been cancelled, Anderson is hopeful the current underclassmen continue to work hard to get better for all sports at Eagle Lane for when they eventually return.
