After the spring sports season was cancelled a few weeks ago, that did not mean the coaches just left their athletes hanging until next season. Several coaches held a final virtual meeting with everyone and still suggested they keep with the workout routines they gave their athletes when the sports shut down first occurred. Knoxville Boys Coach Eric Kellar tells KRLS Sports he knew many of his guys were going to play baseball this summer and plan to play football in the fall and Kellar says many of those workouts contribute to getting them ready for the fall.
Kellar:
“You hope they are motivated and dedicated to do the workouts when we couldn’t go to school and they know it helps them with their sports. Try to keep them busy with their school work and trying to stay active mentally and physically is tough.”
The baseball season for the Panthers is set to start June first if the schedule left as is with a home game against Nevada.
