With three seniors set to play for the Indianola softball team this season, head coach Stacy Evans is using them as motivation for the rest of the team to stay in shape and be ready for a decision come June 1st. She tells KNIA Sports the team feels a special connection to Indianola as a community.

“We’re still One Tribe in this entire community, but we have tagged ourselves as in it together. How we come out of this together is up to us so we have to prepare for that. I truly want the girls to be ready for whatever the situation is come June 1st. I pray we get to get out on that field, and I fear for Kassie Baker, Diamond Mosley, and Bella Bingaman, those three seniors we have, have unfinished business and they want to take care of that.”

Evans also said she understands what the girls are going through right now with so many unknowns, so making sure they know they are going through it together will help.
