The Klompen Classic 5K is going virtual for the 2020 event. Director of Crossroads of Pella Jim Hibma says instead of participants coming to the Klompen, they are bringing the 5K back to those individuals and families.
“We wish we could be hosting this event live with our biggest supporters side by side, but during this time of social distancing and threat of illness, we must hold this race virtually. The cool part is that it allows you to walk, run, hop, skip, jump or bike wherever you are and still support Crossroads of Pella,” Hibma says.
Hibma says this isn’t the normal 5K and these aren’t typical times, but this does create a unique situation where friends and family from around the world can participate “together” in a common goal, crossing the finish line to help others through Crossroads.
Register for free at www.crossroadspella.org starting May 6th. During the registration process, all will have the opportunity to make a donation to Crossroads of Pella as well as purchase a shirt unique to the 2020 event. Those who sign up can then complete the 5K distance from anywhere and anytime between May 6th and May 17th.
