The Knoxville High School Drama Department has announced that Meet Me In St. Louis will be the 2021 spring musical. Meet Me In St. Louis is a musical based on the 1944 film Meet Me In St. Louis, about a family living in St. Louis, Missouri on the eve of the 1904 World’s Fair. The spring musical announcement comes after it was recently announced the department had received recognition for their 2020 spring musical production of Rock of Ages: High School Edition through the Iowa High School Musical Theatre Awards in which the department received Outstanding Overall Technical and Creative Achievement, an award that was one of only three handed out throughout the state.
