With the cancellation of spring sports, it inadvertently is a life lesson to student-athletes. You can put in all the hard work possible, but still not have things turn out your way. PCM girls track and field coach Eric Karr says that while things are certainly tough for his student-athletes right now, they will be stronger in life because of it.
“What I really hope they get out of this season is strength, mentally, knowing that there are bigger things in life. And I hope they can look back at this someday and use it in a time that they’re down or they need some motivation and say ‘I went through that, and I thought it was absolutely horrible that I didn’t get to run my senior season, and because of that, I’m actually stronger.’”
10 Mustang seniors will depart the program.
