The PCM girls track and field program was getting set for what was shaping up to be one of the best seasons in program history. With a large senior class, the Mustangs were hoping to get many events to state with an abundance of talent. Head Coach Eric Karr says that group, as well as strong distance runners in the incoming freshman class, would have won the Mustangs a lot of meets.

“Looking at our team, we were bringing back sprinters in every single event, and sprinters were huge for us last year. We were bringing back hurdlers for all of our events. And we were adding distance. We had always had a good 4×8, and we were able to run and score points in the 1500. But last year for PCM, we did not ever, on the girls side, enter anyone in the 3000. And we were bringing in a freshman class that had unbelievable success in the cross country season.”

PCM will lose 10 seniors from this year’s roster, but should have a good contingent of returning talent in 2021.
