After missing another chance to race at the blue oval, a Pella Christian senior is hoping to get the opportunity to play in the maroon and gold one last time.
Eagles outfielder Chloe Morgan is hoping to showcase her skills as she awaits the news about whether or not there will be a summer season. Morgan has been preparing as much as she can without being able to access the field or her teammates during the ongoing school closure.
“Before, I was going to the field and hitting all of the time, but now, since they’re all closed, I just have to hit in the backyard with a net.”
Morgan tied the all-time single season record for stolen bases at Pella Christian as a junior last summer, with 30 total, and earned Third-Team Class 2A All-State Honors and First-Team All Conference recognition. She will compete with the storied Central College softball team next year. Hear more from Morgan on today’s Spring Sports Spotlight on 92.1 KRLS.
