A Pella High School senior earned recognition from her employer before moving on to college. Zoe Card won the Hy-Vee Foundation $1,000 Scholarship, according to Regional Director Derek Sparks, who says Zoe was picked out of 653 applicants this year. Card has an interest in politics, and says she spent the first portion of her last semester as a legislative page at the Iowa Statehouse, with with Minority Leader Todd Prichard, before the suspension of the session related to COVID-19. Card will attend Iowa State University this fall and study political science and Spanish.
