With spring in full bloom throughout Knoxville residents are once again reminded of how to properly dispose of waste when it comes to spring cleaning. In Knoxville, leaves and small twigs no bigger than three inches in diameter are okay to be burned as long as a burn ban is not in effect. Additionally residents are reminded that Knoxville does not have a city wide cleanup, however, all clean, unpainted concrete rubble (no rebar), clean rock, clean dirt, scrap metal, paper, cardboard, plastics, and tin and aluminum cans are all accepted free of charge by the South Central Iowa Solid Waste Agency landfill located at 1736 Hwy T-17 in Tracy.
