A pair of athletes from Oskaloosa who transferred to Pella and Pella Christian both say they found home when they suited up for their new soccer teams in high school.
Pella Senior Sarah Semini and Pella Christian Senior Maddy Crile are both originally from the Home of the Indians, and made the switch to new teams — and each say they were welcomed into their new families with open arms.
Semini played as a starter for the 2018 and 2019 state qualifying Lady Dutch Soccer teams, scoring four career goals and tallying six assists patrolling the midfield.
Crile served mainly as a goalkeeper in her lone season as an Eagle, with a save percentage of .783 in her junior campaign. Hear from both Semini and Crile on today’s Spring Sports Spotlights on KRLS.
