Pitching is a prime position in softball. Twin Cedars will have two pitchers this season that will be key to success for the Sabers. Grace Bailey and Ali Mockenhaupt combined for all of Twin Cedars’ 29 wins. They also combined for 144 strikeouts to 60 walks last summer and a 255 opponent batting average. Mockenhaupt tells KRLS Sports she and Bailey know they cannot do it all and they have a great field behind them.

Mockenhaupt:
“They are capable of getting the outs and I just not let them hit it over the fence. As long as I keep it in the field I know my defense are going to do everything they can to get the outs.”

Should the season be allowed to move forward the Sabers would start with a home varsity double header against Davis County on June first.
