Normal has not been normal for the last couple of months. Since the COVID-19 pandemic closed down school and sports in Iowa, many high school student-athletes have been searching for something to fill their lives with no school and sports. Twin Cedars senior athlete Hunter McCombs is one of those students-athletes that are searching for to fill that void. He says many students, who until a few months ago, will tell you they miss school if nothing else, to have a routine.

McCombs:
“I really do miss school and seeing my friends and seeing the teachers. It was a normal thing being there and going to practice and seeing everyone, it’s just weird.”

McCombs hopes the baseball season will happen to provide a little normal to his and the rest of his teammate’s lives this summer.
