The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has announced that beginning tomorrow the Marion County Law Enforcement Center will take walk-in appointments for weapons permits, civil paper service and sex offender registry. They will no longer be accepting applications for weapons permits through the mail or in our drop box and the office will only accept cash for weapons permits.
Residents are asked that when they arrive at the Law Enforcement Center, they enter the first set of doors and press the intercom button to your right. You will need to state your name and that you have a scheduled appointment. The door will then be remotely unlocked, allowing you to enter the lobby. Only one person per scheduled appointment.
