Residents in Knoxville may have noticed some work being done at the water tower next to Ken Locke Stadium. The work being done is preparation for the water tower to be repainted by the city. According to Knoxville Schools Superintendent Cassi Pearson the city asked if the district would once again want its logo on the tower, to which the district excitedly said yes. Pearson says the tower is an iconic symbol in Knoxville and the school district is proud to have their logo remain on it. She says the repainting was perfect timing for the district as the district just unveiled their new logo earlier this spring. Pearson says she expects the repainting of the tower to move quickly and anticipates the unveiling of the new logo on the tower to be done later this summer.
