The YMCA of Greater Des Moines has announced the Indianola YMCA will be opened in a limited capacity beginning today. Executive Director Heather Hulen tells KNIA News in addition to social distancing efforts and other safety precautions, members will have to help the Y stay as safe as possible.

“When you walk in there will be a pre-screening questionnaire, just a few questions to make sure that everyone in the building is healthy and should be in there. We are encouraging anyone who is in a high-risk category to stay home. If anyone has been exposed to COVID, or if you are taking care of somebody that has COVID, or again in the high-risk category, we recommend stay home and follow what the guidelines are.”
