The Dross twins of PCM, Alexis and Brooke, were set to lead the Mustangs girls golf program this season. While they won’t get that opportunity anymore, they will be moving on to play collegiate golf at St. Ambrose University. Head Coach Tony Ford says the two had slightly different strengths on the golf course, and that they were both exceptional leaders on the team.

“Even though they’re twins, they both had different strengths. Brooke is kind of a “no-nonsense” when she’s on the golf course. She always kills me because I can never tell the difference between a good round of golf or a bad round of golf. She always has the same demeanor when she walks around a golf course. She plays shot to shot. That’s such a big deal for her because when she hits a bad shot, she just wipes it off and moves onto the next shot, hit it right down the middle and hit it right by the hole. Alexis, she was more of our emotional leader on our team. She kind of kept everyone in check, stayed positive. She worked really hard at her game, her short game was phenomenal, and I think she took a lot of pride in that.”

Brooke and Alexis will both join the women’s golf program this fall at St. Ambrose, and both will pursue a career in nursing. A complete interview with the Dross twins will air on this Wednesday’s Radio Sports Page at 6:00 p.m. on 92.1 KRLS.
