Pleasantville senior Isaac Roe is getting set to begin college at Simpson this fall, and will be joining the men’s golf program. His final season at Pleasantville was setting up to be somewhat unusual, even before the cancellation of the season. He was going to be the only senior on the roster, and was going to play his final year with a new head coach in Chuck Sinclair. Sinclair says that Roe had some very bright moments in his high school golf career, and takes his game very seriously in preparation for the next level.
Isaac Roe is one of the best and brightest to walk the halls at Pleasantville, his character just radiated throughout. When I first took this job, he was the first person that I contacted, we had several meetings before I reached out to any of the other kids. He would’ve been a four-year starter, of course he was a captain of our team. Last year he won the Colfax-Mingo invitational. Basically out at the golf course weather permitting or sometimes weather not permitting, working on his craft.”
Roe will join the Storm men’s golf team this fall, and has an opportunity to make an immediate impact on what will be a rather young team.
