The Pleasantville City Council met in regular session Monday. The council approved a Memorial Hall Contract renewal as well as approved Ordinance 2004 regarding public libraries. The ordinance was needed for Webb Shadle Memorial Library to continue to receive state benefits past July 1st, 2020.
They approved a Salt Storage Building for Smith’s Fertilizer and Grain as well as approved a free month on pet licensing as the city is currently limited on work due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The council approved a resolution for the appointment of Bob Stuyvesant as the Pleasantville City Attorney as well as approved the time and date of council meetings for from Monday evenings to Tuesday evenings. They approved pay applications for Iowa Civil Contracting and Woodruff Construction as well as approved the city’s official newspaper.
