The Indianola Traffic Signal Project is scheduled to begin construction later this month, which will close a portion of Iowa Ave from 1st Street to Jefferson Way for pavement replacement. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the Traffic Signal Project will improve traffic flow on Highway 65/69 and Highway 92 to reduce delays, as well as help the area environmentally by reducing emissions from idling at red lights. The Traffic Signal Project was approved by the Indianola City Council in 2018, and is partially funded by a grant.
