The Pleasantville boys track and field team qualified two events to state last season. While they were hoping to qualify more events this season, it is worth celebrating the accomplishments of last year as we flash back to the 2019 state track and field meet.

Trojan senior Triston Mount competed in the 100 meter dash. He did not advance out of the preliminary round, but finished sixth with a time of 11.73.

Junior Cale Anthony made it into the finals in the 2A shot put. He finished 16th overall with a top throw of 47-09.00. He would have been one of the favorites this season, as only five of the throwers that finished ahead of him were underclassmen. While Anthony lost his senior season of competition, he’ll be taking his athletic talents to Iowa State University to join the football team.
