Testing for the COVID-19 virus has grown for the state of Iowa over the last month, however Director of the Warren County Public Health Jodene DeVault tells KNIA News the testing is still focused on high-risk areas.
“We’re doing a lot of extra testing in areas such as long-term care and some assisted living communities, because that is where the asymptomatic positive person could expose many of those with compromised immune systems. So we are doing a lot of testing in those areas, as well as a lot of healthcare workers everywhere.”
